Big Brothers Big Sisters Northwest Arkansas

About

  • Big Brothers Big Sisters is the oldest and largest youth mentoring organization in the United States. Trained professionals recruit, screen, match and support caring, adult mentors (Bigs) and mentees (Littles) in one-to-one mentoring relationships. These relationships have documented positive outcomes for Littles and can be equally life-changing for the Bigs. The Northwest Arkansas agency has three programs needing volunteers.

    • Community-based: Meet with your Little 2-4 times per month for at least one year. Bake cookies, go to baseball games, watch movies and whatever else you and your Little enjoy together.
    • Site-based: Meet with your Little once a week at their school, either over the lunch/recess hour or during their after-school program for at least 3 semesters. Partnerships with the following Fayetteville schools: Leverett Elementary, Owl Creek School and Washington Elementary.
